custom framing is carried out in-house using top of the range machinery and high
quality materials while maintaing age old archival methods
all photographs are mounted to prevent the printed material touching glazing and
so protecting it from damage
all photographs are framed using high quality acrylic glass which adds a layer of
UV protection, won’t shatter like glass, is much lighter and is widely used by museums
and galleries. many hospitals, restaurants and other public places particularly
where children frequent require works of art to be framed using acrylic for health
and safety reasons
we try to refrain from imparting too much specific advice on frames and mount choices
as we believe this to be very much a personal choice and relate to your own sense
of style and design. if you are unsure about your choices it is better to go with
simple frames with white or off-white mounts
we do find it helpful to follow a few general tips for hanging your framed photograph:
- don’t hang in direct sunlight to protect against fading
- try when possible to hang at eye level
- don't hang in close proximity to radiators or other heat sources
